This week in Tarot 4 Tyson…

  1. The Past – Three of Pentacles (reversed)
  2. The Present – Seven of Swords
  3. The Future – King of Cups
  4. The Outcome- Six of Cups

Hello sir! You may scoff, but it always amazes me when similar cards appear from week to week.  Now you may be thinking that I shuffle the cards poorly?  Obviously, I beg to differ.  The time, focus, and variety that I put into shuffling should yield either all new cards from week to week or only those cards which are meant specifically for you!  And I think this is the case with what we have here.

As an added bonus, I decided to grab the pentacle from my altar to join us on this occasion. Why? Because it’s cool, that’s why!  No, but seriously I thought you could use the grounding powers of earth, and there is no way I’m grabbing a fist full of soil and dumping it onto my coffee table!  So, my pentacle will have to do.

The Reading: In the past (1) we see a sculptor hard a work at a monastery attempting to beautify the foundation and appearance, but he is not doing the best of jobs as he is being watched as he works at his craft.  Perhaps he does not like being micro-managed which has cause him to no longer take pride in his work?  Or maybe he never did?  Regardless the reversed state of this card indicates that his efforts are mediocre.  But what does this mean in life?  There could be a variety of explanations.  Perhaps a new employee or contractor is not doing a good job?  Or perhaps this is you treating your own body in a careless and weak manner?  Only you can determine this for sure.

In the present (2) we see a man sneaking away from a camp with five of seven swords.  This could indicate deception, quarrelling, poor planning, annoyance, or even mistrust as it reveals theft.  In comparison to our last reading, could this thief be the Page of Wands who we thought was our ally, as we now have the King of Cups in a more trusting position rather than how he was shown previously?  It would appear that the roles of these individuals may have indeed changed.  Now in his (3) upright position the King of Cups is telling us that he is an ally as well as a man of great benefit and generosity as shown by the Six of Cups where he has provided others with beauty, and emotional abundance.  Perhaps where the individual in the first two cards fails and deceives you, the King of Cups becomes a great ally, and his previous reversed state could have been a result of the Page of Wands altering your understanding of the situation.  Maybe in retrospect, the Page of Wands was the devil in disguise after all?

Be well Mr. Tyson and may the cosmos smile upon you.

Another double dichotomy? At least this is increasingly optimistic. Perhaps the Death of Pluto will come to reflect upon the error of his recent past and current ways to return to a kinder and gentler time. Note Dr. Tyson’s evil scoffing at people who love Pluto at 4:00 of this vid. “Scientists are depriving children of their favorite planet!”
