This week in Tarot 4 Tyson…
- The Past – Two of Wands (reversed)
- The Present – Four of Cups (reversed)
- The Future – Strength VIII
- The Outcome- Hermit IX
The Reading: Here (1) we have a man standing on his roof over looking the landscape. Is he weighing his options or contemplating the state of the world? Possibly. The words associated with the reversed meaning of the card are surprise, wonder, enchantment, emotion, trouble, and fear. Judging from the suit of the card (wands) we can deduce that this card also pertains to power, passion, and control so in its reversed manner are we seeing these attributes waning or in some sense dismantled for the time being? It’s a possibility. For the second card, we once again have the Four of Cups depicting a man seated underneath a tree with three cups standing before him and a fourth cup being handed to him by a mysterious hand. The text indicates that this man is not content with his environment, which interestingly sheds additional light on the Two of Wands and the weighing of options, the powerlessness, and the reflecting upon the world. In regards to the two final cards, the text speaks of energy and courage (3) as well as prudence, roguery, treason, and even corruption (4). However, who is to say for sure? I like to view major arcana cards as helper cards that indicate more of a flow of the cosmos rather than social issues and developments. With that in mind, it would seem that despite the weighing of options (1) any current challenges will be met (3) and that you will be wiser for them (4). I hope all is well with you and yours Mr. Tyson!
